Dr. David Charles
joined Thomson Memory & Attention in 2024 as a Clinical Neuropsychologist. He provides lifespan neuropsychological and psychological assessments to patients with known or suspected neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegenerative disease, chronic pain, chronic medical conditions, and various psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Charles completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS)
and has a comprehensive and distinguished background in both clinical psychology and neuropsychology. His training spans from early academic achievements to extensive post-doctoral training. Dr. Charles completed his internship at
St. Vincent Hospital
in Indianapolis, Indiana. His postdoctoral training at
Thomson Memory & Attention
as well as
Graven & Associates
in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed a Master of Sciences in Clinical Psychology from
RFUMS, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from
Morehead State University, where he graduated Magna cum Laude with university and departmental honors. With a deep-rooted commitment to a scientist-practitioner model, he has honed expertise through rigorous training in lifespan neuropsychology, pediatric neuropsychology, and clinical research.
Prior to joining Thomson, Dr. Charles served as Clinical Director and Neuropsychologist at Meridian Behavioral Health, where he was responsible for practice-wide co-leadership and management of assessment services. Dr. Charles also works as a professional music producer and believes in providing compassionate and thorough care.
